Farleigh Golf Days
You, your friends, family and colleagues are guaranteed an exceptional golfing experience that you will wish to repeat year after year. One of the great features of Farleigh’s golf is that we have three 18 hole loop combinations that allows our golfers a different experience each time they play with us. All our greens are at true USGA greens standard.
Our team are always happy to talk golf and would be delighted to create a bespoke package to suit your requirements for groups from 12 up to 160 people for a large Corporate Event. Our fleet of 30 buggies allow groups of all sizes to enjoy our courses in style.
With a dedicated Green Keeping team, a large investment in green keeping equipment and a course mostly built on chalk, we guarantee no temporary greens or tees and trolleys are allowed throughout the year.

"Just to thank you and all at Farleigh for a very generous and most enjoyable day on Friday. Well organised and lots of fun!!
Thank you again"
"Thank you so much for inviting us to the golf organisers day today. I can tell you the Chartham Park Vice Squad had a great day and we really appreciated how you and all the team at Farleigh looked after us.
Two of the ladies I played with today come with me when we played the course for the first time in the summer before I had booked it for my away day. However, we played the Orange course. We all said how lovely the green course is and I definitely want to play this course on the 19th August 2015 when I bring all my Chartham Park ladies over.
Having had such fun with the simulator today I definitely want to do a closest to the pin competition on that day as well, I think you kindly said you would put up a four ball as a prize for that.
Very best wishes and good luck in your new job. I am sure we will have a great day next year, but it won’t be quite the same!"
"Just a quick note to say thank you from Team Simms for a very enjoyable Golf Day yesterday.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the day."

Our Golf Operation is overseen by Head Professional Steve Stiller, P.G.A (formerly Burhill Group), Course Manager Michael Mann (formerly West Hill & Wentworth), supported by Kenny Macphail.
Michael Mann – Course Manager
Michael started his career in heart of the Ayrshire Links coast before moving down south to continue his career in the hub of Surrey working on many Top 100 Courses. He joins us from West Hill where he was the leader of many incentives including major heather regeneration with the Surrey Wildlife Trust enabling West Hill to retain their Top 100 course status. The remainder of Michael's career has been centered around his appointment at the prestigious Wentworth Club in Surrey.
Whilst with Wentworth he was heavily involved in the modernisation of the West Course in 2005. Not a stranger to the Tour calendar, he has been a valuable member behind the set up for the PGA BMW Championship, Volvo, World Match Play and Seniors Masters.
Michaels scientific approach to Greenkeeping has enabled him to take Farleigh to the next level. Working closely with John Jacobs Associates, Michael and the team trial ground-breaking new technology on the golf course, centered around the industry first in Benonite bunker lining hoping to combat the common problem of bunker contamination.
His passion for the game does not stop there; he actively encourages the conservation of wildlife on our courses. Our current inhabitants on the estate include Sparrow Hawks, Badgers, Geese, Deer and a Kestrel, alongside ample rabbits, squirrels and birds.
2011 will see Michael work closely with the Woodlands Trust in the planting of more trees on the estate.
David Pottage MG (Greenkeeping Consultant)
David is an amiable Yorkshireman educated initially at Scarborough High School for Boys before going on to become a qualified Civil Engineer specialising in land drainage. David first met John Jacobs Associates whilst building Stevenage Golf Centre under Jacobs' guidance in the late 1970's.
Before long he joined John Jacobs Associates Golf Consultants, the team designing Hoebridge and Fairlop Waters Golf Centres before Jacobs returned to his first love, teaching. David formed John Jacobs Associates Golf Limited in 1985 initially with John as a consultant and the late "Laddie" Lucas as chairman. Both John and "Laddie" continued their involvement until the early to mid 1990's with David celebrating the company's 25th anniversary earlier this year.
During those 25 years David's company has designed golf projects in many countries including China, France, Tenerife, Poland and Mexico and has carried out consultancy work in several others. Perhaps his best known course is The Edinburgh Course at Wentworth designed with John Jacobs Associates. Gary Player and Bernard Gallaher acted as consultants to the project, which at the time was one of the biggest events in world golf.
Other courses include The Buckinghamshire, Golf de Apremont near Paris and Farleigh Court - all for Japanese giants Kajima - Golf Las Americas in Tenerife, The Bedford, Town Farm at High Wycombe, The Open Golf Centre at Christchurch and Flamingo Lakes in the Yucatan in Mexico, where David also designed the project's masterplan.
A number of course renovations have also been undertaken, not least Fakenham and Rushmore, the latter being re-designed and re-built without closing a single hole.
David was a Senior Member of the Institute of Golf Course Architects before he resigned a few months ago and has presented numerous papers, mostly on golf centre design and written numerous articles for golf journals. He has been married to Chris for 45 years. They have two sons and a beautiful granddaughter.
